Meet Nathan Walker he is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona, as the 2024 Valedictorian for the Faculty of Social Sciences. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Economics with a double minor in Spanish and International Relations.
He has professional experience with the Embassy of Mexico in the economic promotion department as well as the United Nations’ International Organization for Migration, where he contributed to the establishment of the ‘JAM-DEM’ remittance tool. Passionate about creating impactful change in his home country of Jamaica, he aims to combine his academic training with practical solutions to address regional challenges.
He is currently contributing to research exploring the intersection of economics and sustainable development in the Caribbean. His academic interests include economic inequality, international trade, and regional development strategies.
