Othandrea is currently progressing towards graduating with a distinction in her master’s degree in Economics at the University of the West Indies in 2024. Due to her ardent traits, she was granted the Thomas De La Rue Scholarship for the academic year 2023- 2024. Serving as a tutor in the Department of Economics, she takes immense pride in her work, particularly in breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable portions to ensure a solid comprehension for all.
Before embarking on her master’s journey, Othandrea completed her bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science with Honors at UWI in 2022. Looking ahead, she intends to pursue her PhD in Economics which will enable her to hone a career in lecturing and research geared towards public finance and economic development. Her ultimate goal is to contribute substantial research and facilitate discussions aimed at addressing Jamaica’s most prevalent economic challenges.
In her free time, she likes to learn more about marine life discoveries and catch-up on the Real Housewives’ drama!
