Tayhana Taylor is a part of Saint Leo University’s undergraduate graduating class of 2024, where she studied accounting and economics and was an honors student. Tayhana served as the President of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) student chapter. During her undergraduate career, she completed various accounting internships with top CPA firms in the United States–including the #1 world-ranked CPA firm, Deloitte. Tayhana has also worked as a research assistant for the Dean of Saint Leo’s Tapia College of Business; the research papers and articles she contributed to have been published in the International Journal of Business and Social Science, the Journal of Accountancy and Finance, and Strategic Finance. Tayhana is also a graduating member of the prestigious leadership program, Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay. Tayhana joined us as a GradQuo fellow for the 2023-2024 application cycle. She received acceptance and scholarships from top MS in Accounting programs such as NYU, North Carolina State University, Drexel University, Arizona State University, and the University of Maryland. Additionally, she was selected out of an application pool of 200 students to receive an academic fellowship and assistantship at North Carolina State University (her top graduate program choice). Upon completing her master’s, Tayhana will be working towards becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
