Michka is a highly motivated young professional with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a minor in Spanish from the University of the West Indies, Mona where she graduated with Upper Second Class Honors. During her undergraduate years, Michka served as the President of the University’s Model United Nations Club, where she also participated in the prestigious Harvard National Model United Nations Competition in 2020, showcasing her diplomatic skills on an international stage.  Post-graduation, Michka embarked on a career at the Embassy of Mexico in Jamaica, where she held the position of Assistant to the Ambassador. In this role, she played a part in maintaining and enhancing bilateral relations between Jamaica and Mexico. Seeking to deepen her involvement in Jamaican foreign policy, Michka  transitioned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica as a Foreign Service Officer. Here, she made significant contributions to Jamaica’s international relations strategy. Michka is currently pursuing a bachelor’s law degree at the University of the West Indies.
